Ok, i have a Cable modem with a
PCI Ethernet DELchip 21041 Based adapter
and
Slackware 3.6.
I am trying to set up my Ethernet card to get on the net with linux.
So far i have gotten this:
insmod tulip
ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0
ifconfig -a
Now as soon as i type insmod tulip the "PC" lighjt comes on on my cable
modem but if i try to ping or make an outside connection i get
nothing..i set up netconfig but still no luck, can someone please help
me?
