Fine tuning a RH5.0 box..........................

Howdy, Morning, nite etc....

I want as much as possible to fine tune a RH5.0 machine (firewall/proxy 
TIS FWTK) so that it isn't a bottle-neck for the connection. ie it doesn't
slows down the connection from  the ISP 

Which files should I meddle with?
