Without brackets, 202.xx.xx.xx is interpreted as a hostname. With
brackets, it is interpreted as an IP address.
I have no idea what is causing your problems, other than to note that
most of the really badly-behaved mail servers which I've encountered
happened to run Lotus mail software.
