1. Have you restarted the daemons in the correct order (portmap,
mountd, nfsd)?

2. Is all of the configuration correct? /etc/exports has to have quite
tight permissions. Also, the /etc/hosts.allow entry has to be correct
(an exact dotted-decimal IP address works, most of the other forms
which are usually allowed don't work).
