Folks - I need HELP !

I use a chat+pppd combination based on the ppp-HOWTO. As soon as I get my
serial connection established, I get an annoying message from pppd to say
"speed 1 not supported". What on earth does this mean, what is speed 1, and
how can I fix it ??

I'd REALLY appreciate some help on this ..

TIA .. Peter
