Hi,
1) It seems to me that your /etc/passwd is not readable for everybody
(can the users access their mailboxes ?)
2) If you did not change anything in the default apache configuration,
each user has a public_html/ directory in its own directory. Make sure that
this directory has an "x" access (sorry, I do not remember the english word
for that.... :-( ). Also make sure that the user has a "default.html" or
"index.html" or "index.shtml" or "index.cgi" in this public_html directory
(not a "index.htm"... but you can change that in the
/etc/http/conf/srm.conf file)
HTH !
regards,
Loic.
Ok..I have 2 problems with a web/email server I have set up...
1) When I log in as root everything works fine...however when a
user logs in I get a prompt like...
<I have no name!@Hades>
I have no idea why it does this and have tried everything I can think
of to fix it....
2) I can get to the main area of the website (http://host.name.here)
however when I try and get to a user webpage
(http://host.name.here/~user) it either comes up with 404 or
Forbidden. I think this has something to do with the I have no name
thing but....
Any help would be great thnx.
