The problem is CERTAINLY with ttyS1 beeing DECLARED on IRQ 7 but
actually if the port IC is embedded on MB it is impossible for it to USE
anything then IRQ3 or 4, if the serial port is on add-on card that allow
configuring "non-standard" interrupts then your problem is of course
with the printer port (embedded or not ) that use the same IRQ7 and MUST
be disabled, I have sometimes a great deal of pain when I set Linux
routers with 4 modems (2int+2ext) and forget to diable printer port :(.
BTW, we have here at interplus.ro the same setup as yours
(2.0.36 and
sec. enhancemnets) and happily works more than a year serving 2
customers on leased lines and a lot on the 5 eths.
