Without the proper configuration, the NT box sets the default route to the ppp
interface when it is dialed out. If it receives a packet on the lan interface,
the response would be out to the ppp interface, and it looks to the linux box as
if the nt box is off the net.
Check you route table in the nt box before and after the connection.
