How close is serial and the way that serial operates to USB? What would good information be regarding USB and (linux if supported). I understand the basics of serial, ie how to make a modem work, computers talk via serial, and how terminals work but will the options be the same for USB? I know this computer has USB and not almost ALL computers come with USB but I don't know anything about the USB? Heh, I do know that USB stands for Universal Serial Bus and that USB is very fast, but somehow I don't think that matters much!
