Hello there!
I've tried a few times to get the kernel to mount root over NFS, doing
just the sort of stuff kindly suggested in
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/nfsroot.txt, but it seems as though the NFS
root code doesn't see the PLIP network device...
Even if I specify "plip1" (the name of the device that is ouput from the
kernel's PLIP driver) as the device name in the "nfsaddrs" parameter, it
says it can't find a valid network device and states that it'll try to
mount root on /dev/fd0, which it proceeds to do...
Anyway, if anybody could help me with this, such would be very
appreciated! :)
After all, PLIP is a valid network device, right?? I use NFS over it all
the time, but I can't get root to mount over PLIP...
Have a nice day :)
