Someone else made a few "minor" changes to a linux box, and now when it boots, the
Loopback interface doesn't start. Attempts to ping any of the linux boxes IP
addresses
from the linux box fail.
If I do an ifconfig, it only shows eth0 and eth1. If I do
ifconfig lo 127.0.0.1
and
route add -net 127.0.0.0
then all is well. Pings to all the linux boxes IP addresses work fine.
What could cause the loopback route to go away?
