Hi I'm looking for tools to mirror/syncronize two fileservers. It should be bidirectional and in realtime. I wonder if something exists for Linux? I don't want to syncronize every once in a while via a cron-job and file-locking should also be considered, i.e. a file locked on the first server should be also locked on the second one, so that no two persons can alter a file at the same time. Background: we have two offices connected via a relatively slow leased line. currently we have a NT-server on both side and use octopus to do the mirroring. The goal is to have fast access to all files in both offices and also to always have a current backup in case of a hardware-failure.
