You can do it any way you like. Conventionally you run gated and BGP4 and
load balance across both lines with your two providers - if its one provider
with both lines you may well just be using OSPF.
However there isnt any requirement you do things that way, just so long as
you and the ISP agree where the traffic is going thats all that matters
