I am presuming you are talking about an internal network. Are you sure the
error mentions "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", and not "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"?
In that case try sending it to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"

In my own case, my server is called "ganymedes", and is on network
"kerkstraat95.nl". I was only able to send messages to
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" and not to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" - I also
couldnt submit any messages to any other domains.
The solution was in /etc/mail/somefileidontrememberrightnow where you have
to specify what domains sendmail is accepting mail for I think ... I have to
look it up at home though. This is using the sendmail program for SMTP.

Hope this helps
