Hi ,
I am configuring my machine as a router . My first card is a dec
tulip and is recognized . The second card is a ne2000 compatible but is
not getting recognized . The driver prints out a message saying it can
only find pci type cards and I have to specify the io address for ths ISA
type . I have tested the card on Win/ms-dog and the io address is 0x280 at
irq 11 . When I supply the above address the error message is the same .
The card is an ISA pnp type Compex ne2000 compatible adapter . I have the
kernel version 2.0.32 which I compiled and ne is compiled as a module .
Along with the error mesg "card not found at address:0x280" I also get the
error init_module: device or resource busy . I have also tried other
addresses with the same result . Is there a utility to detect these cards
automagically . pnpdump does detect the card but fails to give me the io
address .
It would be very kind of you if you could mail me directly as I am
not a member of this list .

                                        Thanx ,
                                        Bye .
