% I seem to remember reading that Linux only uses 64Mb RAM by default. My
% swanky little test system has 256Mb RAM, so how do I tell Linux to use it
% all? Is it a Lilo parameter?
Yes. Add
append="mem=256m"
to each stanza of /etc/lilo.conf that boots a kernel.
% Also, on the subject of Lilo, when I boot I have to choose which operating
% system to use, and it asks for DOS, Linux or OS/2. I actually have DOS,
% Linux and NT. I would prefer that the active partition booted
% automatically, without asking me. Where is this set up?
Comment out the "prompt" line in /etc/lilo.conf. See the lilo
docs for all the gory details
