Yeah, we wrote a simple script to grab the throughput data from
/proc/net/ip_fwchains and dump it into a mySQL database.
>From that we're able to generate all sorts of pretty graphs and logs.
We reset the packet/byte counters every time we grab the data (*/5 * * * *
cron job), so you can actually see the traffic broken down into segments.
I've attached the program that fetches and saved the data.
