I'm having problems getting Liunx to recognize my ethernet card.

I have a Linksys Ether16 LAN Card in my Intel box. I'm running version
2.0.36 of Linux. With the disks supplied with the card I set the card to
use IRQ 10, i/o base address 0x300, and I unenabled PnP. I'm using the ne
driver. There's nothing else on my machine using IRQ 10 or i/o port
0x300.

dmesg shows:
ne.c:v1.10 9/23/94 Donald Becker ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
NE*000 ethercard probe at 0x300: failed to detect IRQ line.

cat /proc/ioports shows:

After booting, running Donald Becker's NE2000 diagnostic program shows:
Checking the ethercard at 0x300.

NE2000 found at 0x300, using start page 0x40 and end page 0x80.

Can anyone help me?

I'm leaving town in the morning for a week and I won't have access to my
computer while I'm gone.
