Hi,

I'm running Samba-2.0.3 on a 2.2.6 kernel (i386). Locally, everything
works fine. But if I try to share a printer with a Win95 box, the
trouble begins:
The printer shows up in the Network Neighborhood and installs seemingly
OK. But when I test it, I get the following message (from Windows):

        There was an error writing to \\CAVEMAUS\lp for printer (lpr):
        There was a problem printing to the printer due to an unknown system
error.
        Restart Windows, and then try printing again.
        This printer will be set to work offline.
        To save your print job in the local printer queue, click OK.

Needless to say that restarting Windows doesn't do anything (does it
ever?)
I have the following line in the general section of smb.conf:

   load printers = yes

My [printers] section looks like that:

[printers]
   comment = All Printers
   path = /var/spool/samba
   browseable = no
   guest ok = yes
   writable = no
   printable = yes

Can anybody see the glaring error here? I sure can't.

TIA,
Juergen
