Hi,
Look up the Redhat ftp site for updates to the RH for the 2.2
kernel..there is an rpm call initscripts*.rpm apart from a host of rpm
updates..
Try running those..I had 5.2 and updated to 2.2.7 and used the rpm
updates..no sweat..all is well now..
