Kernel 2.0.36
I have 2 different sites, 2 isp's and 3 different ip ranges
across them, 2 are /28 and 1 is /29.
Site #1 needed a net upgrade. Site #2 is fine and unchanged.
Site #1 changes...
I have a sync 56k perm connection to isp #1 with an 8 ipadr range.
Volume required that I add another line... isp #1 couldn't do it
isp #2 could... result... 2 distict ip ranges ranges each on its
own pipe. I was planning on managing site #1 w gated but new
eth0 is _not_correct_ yet... Config at site #1...
On 1 Linux box acting as router...
1. Sangoma S508, sppp0 handling 56K primary connection to net
2. 3c900 on eth0, new line to net, new ip range...
for now, only the gateway and eth0 ip adrs
will be used.
destined to become new primary connection
sppp0 goes to secondary for mail...
3. 3c900 on eth1, unchanged internal LAN
has and will continue to have old ip range, no problems.
Problem is, I can ping out on eth0 to isp #2's gateway sucessfully
but...
the box won't respond to an arp who-has qurey orgininating from
_outside_ (from my site #2)
Everything else seems fine so far...
I have other multi-nic machines and I don't have this problem.
What might be going on?
Do I need anything special to pull this off?
