What I get in my syslog is not 8 bit clean or simular messages these are the things that I have done log in manually with minicom once connected and logged in i quit with out resetting. read both the mini-howto isp connection and the howto ppp both result in the same thing. >From the ppp howto i have found the section that talks about the dirty bit that is why i have logged in manually. Just in case my connection is slow I have also increased my lcp-max-configure and i have have put in a new entry to look for some of the garbage after starting ppp that always comes up the (. I have tried a number of quick setup tools too and nothing works. Can some one please tell me if there are other causes for this error.
