Please do not attempt this procedure unless you already know how to patch source and how to compile and install pcmcia-cs and kernel modules. If you are not comfortable with patch or building your own utilities and kernel, you should wait for the patches to be accepted into the mainline code. Or ask your local Linux guru for help. These instructions and patches are against pcmcia-cs-3.0.12 and kernel 2.2.9. Other combinations of pcmcia and kernel are untested and you are on your own. The patches only add RBEM56G, but should work with minor tweaks for other versions of Realport and CBEM cards. Most of the credit for getting this working goes to David Hinds (PCMCIA maintainer) and Danilo Beuche for patching tulip.c to support the Xircom CBE. Having got that out of the way, instructions on how to get RBEM56G working (including the modem) can be found on ftp://ftp.ocs.com.au/pub/xircom-RBEM56G-howto-1.tar.gz. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-net" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
