Hi All,
I've configured a Linux Slackware with kernel 2.2.1 to use IP forwarding and
routing and CBQ.
I've done it with no problems at all.
But I still have one doubt.
To use the routing between interfaces to conect to differents networks to
another that's going to be the connection for the Internet I had to set the
value 1 to the /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward.
Well here goes my doubt:
- First interface eth0 goes to the Internet
- 2nd eth1 as two IP's, 192.168.0.3 and 192.168.0.4, route as a host to the
interface eth1, and the interface has the ip 192.168.0.1
- the same for the interface eth2 but the ip's are 192.168.0.8, 192.168.0.9
and 192.168.0.7 for the interface
I've been think, as I haven't subnetted this addresses, is there a way so
that my Linux only makes the routing between the interface e.g eth1 to eth0,
and only eth2 to eth0, and not between eth2-eth1.
Could use the ipchains to DENY the ip's but that would not the problem.
I am open for questions & answers.
