keeping a box online 100%

This might be a silly question but here is the thing. I have to keep a
box online 24 hours a day 7 days a week with an ISP that tends to drop
connections once in a while (Erols, USA). What would be the best way to
do it? So far I have only two ideas: Diald and fixing ppp-down script to
dial up as soon as the connection goes down. Any ideas?
