Thanks for the suggestion but I could'nt make it work.
I put "nodefaultroute" in the ppp options file and then the ppp0 interface
would'nt come up.
/var/log/messages showed the user logged in and ppp packets being sent.
Then "LCP terminated by peer".
Total connect time ist 2 min. then "modem hangup".
It seems the only way to get a ppp login is to use ppp0 as the default gw.
Can what I'm trying to do even be done using this approach?
