Well, this is actually not "single" mode. You can always ask the kernel
to start anything else than init. But you can also prevent this by asking
for a password (while being in lilo) which can be set in /etc/lilo.conf
in case someone tries to add any boot parameters. But this actually doesn�s
help you in case someone tries his boot disk to boot your PC (but you may
want to set boot order (in BIOS) to something like HDD->CDROM->floppy).
