I have a linux box serving as a router using RH6.0 2.2.5-15, routing two
internal networks. They are 192.6.21.0 and 192.168.1.0. There is also a
gateway on the 192.6.21.0 network to www.
I used the followig routes and can ping, telnet, pop3, browse, etc. across
the two nets or out to the www.
'ipchains -A forward -s 192.6.21.0/24 -j MASQ'
'ipchains -A forward -s 192.168.1.0/24 -j MASQ'
I have WinNT boxes on one network. W95 and HP-UX w/samba on the other. I
can map a drive from W95 or HP-UX to WinNT by entering the address manually.
The problem is that network neighborhood will not 'see' any groups on the
routed network, only on the local network. This is true from either side.
Is there something I have to do to linux to allow it to pass a different
protocol or something.
