I brought this card up as a module using Slackware 4.0 just
fine:
eth0: 3c509 at 0x300 tag 1, 10baseT port, address 00 20 af d3 36 0f, IRQ 10.
3c509.c:1.16 (2.2) 2/3/98 [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Linux PCMCIA Card Services 3.0.9
kernel build: 2.2.6 #20 Sat Apr 17 23:17:12 CDT 1999
options: [pci] [cardbus]
As I recall, something about it did not work correctly when I tried
to use it directly from the kernel so I rebuilt the kernel without
it and it worked fine with modprobe.
