My DNS server is now working......thanks for all the
help.
Can someone clarify something for me.
Redhat 5.1
If I look in Users, all the users are disabled except
myself and root.
In messages I get PAM_pwd (su) session opened by user
nobody(uid=99) 15 minutes later this closed.....this happens
every night.....What is the nobody user for? and should it be
enabled? as presently the only user enabled is root and my login. is
this anything to do with Bind or secondary DNS server trying to get
updates?
If I try to login using telnet from my win98 computer I get
the login prompt, I login as root or my username , enter the password and it
sais incorrect. Why?
(I no you people will laugh in my lack of knowledge on this, I
support NT4, SBS, Exchange 5/5.5 and install routers, CAT 5, Fibre and programme
in Coldfusion 4.0.....all actively. - so I have an excuss not being expert at
Linux)
Now I am determined to learn Linux ! (and will not cop-out for
NT)
Thanks
Tony
