Hello anyone -
I've got a question regarding knfsd and mounting 'mounted' directories
i've exported '/' rw, no_root_squash, anonuid=0 [just to be sure there are
no permission issues]
the /usr of the box is another mounted file system/partition.
When i mount the '/' directory to my local /mnt, i can view the contents
of the remote '/' dir but when i change directory to '/mnt/usr' either
one of the two results happen:
if the Emulate Sun NFS option is set, all i see from an ls are:
'.' and '..'.
if the Emulate Sun NFS option is unset, i get nothing from the ls command.
and /var/log/messages complains with the line
fh_verify: //usr permission failure, acc=4, error=1
Is this a known issue with knfsd?
BTW, i'm using kernel 2.2.12 and knfsd-1.4.7
The old userspace NFS does handle this correctly, but i can't seem to make
it work for knfsd.
I've searched dejanews for an answer, can't find one.
Any ideas?
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Ian
