I think, this is a little bit off topic ...
I've got two EP312V Ethernet cards from Surecom. They are installed in two
computers, one of them running linux
When I start the setup program for these cards within DOS ..
One the one computer it says, that the adapter cannot be found
One the other computer it says, that that the eeproms contents are invalid,
this is more intersting
How can I set the contents of these eeprom?
If I used linux: Was it able to restore the eeproms contents?
Which driver did I have to use?
Has anyone had the same problem?
BTW:
Both times the ep312-v ethewrnet adapter is recognized as dec41... in win95 and
ne2000 compatible device within win98.
But ping does not work because maybe the physical output medium is not adjusted
