You should report the chip type for the board. I don't know what type of
board this is. There are thousands of brand names and board part numbers, a
few hundred board designs, but only a few dozen common chips.

Most of the diagnostic programs at
http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/diag/index.html
include code to write the EEPROM, but only permit limited fields to be
changed without modifying the source code.
