In briefest terms:

Running linux on 3 home machines, all connected by NIC.  One machine
(any one) is connected by ppp or modem to ISP.

How can one access that ppp connection from the other machines?  I
understand I can simply remote login to the ppp machine of course,
but aren't there other ways to access the ppp connection?

Maybe do things like download somethihg directly to one of the
machines that is not connected by ppp.   ssh tunnel? or similar.

Some kind of forwarded connections?

Please assume a high level of ingnorance in any responses...
