Hi,

with kernel 2.2.12: when I start dhcpd ('dhcpd eth0') I get the
following in syslog:

Dec 11 05:46:17 daddy dhcpd: Internet Software Consortium DHCP Server
V2.0b1pl8
Dec 11 05:46:17 daddy dhcpd: Copyright 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 The

software useful.

Dec 11 05:46:17 daddy dhcpd: select: Bad file descriptor
Dec 11 05:46:17 daddy dhcpd: exiting.

When I run 'dhcpd -d eth0' out of the shell it seems to work. But when I
type a return in the shell I'll get hundreds of these:

dhcpd: receive_packet failed on fallback: Socket operation on non-socket

I then switched to dhcpd V3.0b1pl12, configured the kernel with
CONFIG_FILTER. dhcpd seems to run fine BUT I get oopses when I try to
start netatalk or just do an 'ifconfig':
