I have installed RH 6.1 (kernal 2.2.12-20) in an Abit BM-6 with Celeron 366
and am having the following error:
1. install recognized and seemed to configure it, unlike a previous install
in an Abit BX-6R2 where it wasn't even recognized. Ifconfig shows IRQ 11 at
base 0xe800
2. driver it appears to use in /lib/modules/2.2-12.2-/net/tulip.o file is
33,536 bytes, dated sept. 27,1999. The driver on the Linksys disk is 32,180
bytes dated 8/27/99 and the Linksys readme states this tulip.o file is for
kernal 2.0.34, so I haven't even tried the Linksys supplied driver.
3. The NIC or OS is constantly spitting out to the console: "eth0: transmit
timed out, status e4260000, CSR12, 000000ce, resetting..."
I can't get the errors to stop, nor can I ping any local pc's, it says
"destination unreachable."
Tried 2 different NICs, id on chip says "Network Everywhere, NC100,
C994031DBX"
Thanks,
