I saw something in a trade mag about a nic that calculates the TCP/IP checksum on board, thus freeing up the CPU for other tasks, but I can't ffor the life of me find it. I have three questions: Firstly, is the checksum computation a serious overhead on the CPU? Secondly, does anyone know who makes it? Thirdly, is there a Linux driver for it!
