Hello All, A (simplified)map of the network layout is:
+--------+ | network A.0.0.0/24
| router |+-+
+--------+ | +----------+ | network B.0.0.0/24
|+-| firewall |+-+
| +----------+ |
|
+--------+ |
| tcpdump|+-+
+--------+ |
the tcpdump box does not see -any- packets from network B using
#ssh -f A.0.0.190 '/usr/sbin/tcpdump -l -n -tt | \
grep -v A.0.0.190' > /home/biglogs/tcpdump.log
I know there are better ways of doing the filtering of the ssh
connection back to my loghost , But this works (sort of) .
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly
appreciate the kindness . Tia, JimL
PS: Yes I own network B.0.0.0 ;-)
