I've checked conf.modules, and it says
alias eth0 eepro100
I'm new to linux, so if there is anything else I need to do maybe you
ought to fill me in. thanks

P.S. I've tried all the documentation, and haven't found anything.
Perhaps, some one should write a trouble shooting HowTo?
