Today only if your server runs 64 bit Linux -- e.g. Alpha or
UltraSPARC system. Latter this year when 2.4 goes out, and
matching libc is available, things will work also in 32-bit
systems.
Your alternate is to run e.g. FreeBSD, UNIXWARE, etc.
(Of ia32 systems, that is.)
