At what level of operation? Even multipoint topologies can have "four-wire
connections" like the multi-drop leased-line circuits that were popular in
the 1960s.
The most common circuits are full-duplex by any definition. This includes
T1, E1, DS3, frame relay. Even ISDN is full-duplex, thanks to
frequency-division multiplexing of the copper pair.
