Ownership and permissions, check them on the linux (ftp server)
box.
All (public) files must be readable by others, and directories
accessable (ie, executable). And, by the way, NOT (I repeat: NOT)
owned by user `ftp' (or else you are creating a big security
problem, ftp is the uid of the anonymous user - and you don't want
THAT user to have any privileges they don't need).
