from what i have heard mosix is easier to set up than beowulf. you need
to have a fast connection between the boxes too, like 100mb. there's lots
of info on it out on the net. mosix will probably be the best choice in
ur situation...
good luck :)

Pinging from the Linux box (arson) to the windows box (tireiron),
running arp -a gives:
tireiron.toughguys.org (192.168.1.2) at <incomplete> on eth0
If I ping from win to linux, arp -a on the win box gives "No ARP Entries
Found" before and after the ping.
My hub has leds for each port and the led corresponding to the pinging
machine blinks, but not the receiving led does not.
Hope this info helps you help me :)

Subject: Winsock Redirection Protocol

Just wondering if there was any Linux program that does WRP. This
protocol is something used in a proxy program for windows called
WinGate, and also by a new feature found in Windows 98 second edition
called Internet sharing. In essence it just takes TCP/IP requests from
programs running on the client machines and acts as a transperent
proxy. It's similar to IP MASQ, but seems to requires no setup on the
client end. I'd like this functionality in my Linux box, is IP MASQ the
only way?

I also like the Symphony product ad, but if one is using a cable
modem, does one really need to use their cordless Ethernet bridge?
The bridge is pretty pricey.
I wonder if one could use a Linux box + IP masquerading without the
Symphony cordless Ethernet bridge to create a network ?

Is the module actually being loaded at boot time?
Try "lsmod" to see if it's loaded and "modprobe" or "insmod" to load it.

Hi Ray,

The machine seems to be very busy. It's a feature of sendmail to reject
connections as long as the load is high. It can be controlled by a
configuration option:
cf-file: O RefuseLA=load
command-line: -ORefuseLA=load
m4-config: define(`confREFUSE_LA',load)
Where load is a number. If load is missing all SMTP connections will be
rejected. The default value for load (option not specified at all) is
12. There is also an option QueueLA which might be of interest to you.
The usage is the same.

you shouldn't have to set up those aliases.
try usign this append line:
append = "ether=0,0,eth1"
that should solve your problem. good luck :)

Hello,
Proxim is NOT the only one company supporting multiple OS in wireless
networking. For example, there is company RadioLan (http://www.radiolan.com)
that supports any platform.
I use both of these vendors in my network, they work great regardless of OS.
Good luck!
