I did this. rm - r /usr/src/linux-2.2.18, downloaded again 2.2.18 and started
from the scratch. I did not change the original .config, I only introduced ISDN
support by modules, well, and the new kernel is working so far.
There are still two problems, the most important beeing ne2k-pci.o: (networking
support )
- init_module: device busy
- eth0: unknown interface.
But I think this has nothing to do with the new kernel or the compilation. You,
me and the rest of linux-newbie may relax.... ;-)
