Yes, this pages are there. But the instructions how to proceed with nfs v3
cannot be derived from them.

Yes, but both handle only instructions how to install it. It seems, that the
compilation was OK in my work, but then I lost the track, how to start the
system

Anyway, activating in my menuconfig file when compiling  the option "Netlink
device emulation", solved the problem. It seems, that this emulation closes
the gap between the 2.2.18 kernel and the older one. I would like to now a
little more about nfs v3, but for the moment at least my old nfs is working.
