Don't know if you got any replies, and I just chanced upon this..


This is my config... login.config...  which works well enough.

/AutoPPP/ - - /usr/sbin/pppd file /etc/ppp/options.server
*       -       -       /bin/login @

Options.server

-detach
asyncmap 0
proxyarp
lock
crtscts
modem
login
ms-dns 203.36.180.2
ms-dns 203.36.180.3
require-pap
refuse-chap

inittab...

s1:12345:respawn:/usr/local/sbin/mgetty ttyS0 -D /dev/ttyS0
s2:12345:respawn:/usr/local/sbin/mgetty ttyS1 -D /dev/ttyS1

If you use ms-dns amke sure pppd is compiled to support it.
