Slackware was first (major?) distro of Linux.
The guys who are doing Slack - is the guys who are doing FreeBSD ;-)
The guys who are doing FreeBSD - is the guys who are doing BSDi ;-)
BSDi is for profit company which is supports the developement of FreeBSD and
Slack.
There were some rumours - when BSDi was bought by WindRiver - that support for
Slack will be dropped. I glad to see this was rumours only.
This is really one of the best distros (for admins and developers, sure =) I
ever saw.
