I think Partition Magic 6 will split NTFS partitions, 
but you have to pay for it.  Don't know of any free 
tools at the minute.

A default install of Win2K will take up about 700MB, 
plus any apps that are needed thereafter.  I would 
have thought 2GB was plenty, but my own machine has 
3.5GB.  This is mainly to allow plenty of space for 
future installs.

What all is on the D: Drive?
You say your 'Profile' data.  If this is all, there
is no way that your profile will take up 8GB at any
time!
