Unfortunately I have no pppsetup with my distro (pppd packet doesn't has it). So this way wont work. For Ray: My modem works with linux, and this is sure because I have used it with my other machine. It has Conexant chipset and works with HSFlinmodem driver. It is good news that I don't need Ethernet card for internet connection. I will look in a PPP howto or look through pppd, and related info-s. But how is that kppp don't creates a ppp0 interface? It writes the error that ppp0 can not be found (or similar, I will write the exact output of kppp tomorrow). I thought that I have to create ppp0 with ifconfig because on the other machine there was a ppp0 interface in ifconfig output. I must go now.
