Hi Michael,

I have 2 machines, a Windows one (from where I am writting right now, and
where I can use these characters) and a Linux machine (that I use to learn
Linux and C++; in a near future when I will feel comfortable enought with
it, I will probably switch entirely to Linux). In Windows, almost anywhere
you can produce these characters if you use ALT + the code. I want to be
able to do that in Linux, too, if not everywhere, at least in the editors
(like the word from xWindows, or vi, or emacs), or in the email programs...
or directly at the prompt..

thanks,
-oana
